Kat came to Course Studio to accelerate the growth of her online course business. Our first goal was evolve her brand and the visual design of miss-excel.com. The second goal was to optimize her website for conversion. We identified opportunities to reduce friction and improve navigability so that students and potential customers could easily find content that serviced their needs. In addition to the website launch we collaborated with Kat to launch an editorial product called The Workbook; a newsletter delivered every Thursday that offers free excel and wellness tips.

Kat Norton is a productivity influencer. On TikTok and Instagram she goes by the name Miss Excel, and she has garnered over a million followers thanks to her engaging and fun content. She’s leveraged this into a successful software training business, using social platforms as marketing tools to convert followers into students.

Thoughtful rebrand
Kat already had a successful library of courses and has honed her TikTok and Instagram presence impeccably. We were challenged to create visual identity that matched Kat’s energy in front of the camera, and amplified the aspects of her personal brand that were already working well.
Conversion-focused experience
Beyond the brand, the Miss Excel website is optimized for conversion. Kat drives a high volume of traffic to her website through social channels and her webinar schedule so it required well-considered design to drive conversion into course purchases. The site structure, CTAs, copywriting, and course pages all play an important role.
