Our agency creates product experiences for the worlds leading creators. Our product business builds online education tools to help creators monetize in more frictionless, high value ways. We're excited to meet you!

We're a remote company, based in Canada, and are open to candidates located within 4 hours of PST timezone.

  • Own the entire design process on your projects, from UX to visual design and branding. We're a small team so you will have plenty of autonomy and ownership of your projects
  • Guide clients through our process and lead discussions about your work. Sometimes this means being open to their feedback and ideas, and other times it's respectfully pushing back to advocate for your work
  • Mentor junior designers on the team by providing meaningful feedback, nurturing their growth, and leading by example
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Developers to scope projects and prioritize tasks. Planning successful projects is a team effort
Skills
  • 5+ years of experience, ideally in a design agency setting
  • A portfolio that you're proud of and that reflects both your UI and UX skillsets
  • A natural inclination to ask questions, identify challenges, and lead your team to solid solutions
  • Initiative for staying on top of design trends, best practices, tools and skills. We use Figma here
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate your design rationale to colleagues and clients alike
  • Ability to multitask and switch context while maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Desire for feedback and continuous growth for you and your teammates
Bonus Skills
  • Design chops in other disciplines — video editing, motion design, illustration, or others
  • Familiarity with online learning and creator platforms like Thinkific, Teachable, Kajabi, Podia, Circle, Substack, and others
  • Understanding of front end development frameworks (HTML, SCSS)
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive compensation
  • Unlimited paid time off for vacation, sick days, and personal time as needed. We actively encourage team members to make use of this time-off policy

Client Partner

Education is changing. Be a part of the movement.

About Course Studio

Course Studio is a funded online education startup. We build products and partnerships with creators through an agency and product business.

Our agency creates product experiences for the worlds leading creators. Our product business builds online education tools to help creators monetize in more frictionless, high value ways. We're excited to meet you!

Role

Course Studio is looking for a Client Partner to support our efforts in creating the world’s best online learning experiences. In this position you'll work in tandem with our Project Management team to ensure that projects are delivered successfully, clients are happy, and our team is proud of their work. Relationships are at the heart of this role and you take pride in your ability to be a trusted advisor to clients. You will support the growth of Course Studio by nurturing key accounts, looking for future opportunities with existing clients, and strategizing ways to strengthen our service offering.

This is our first Client Partner hire, so the ideal candidate has experience managing large accounts and projects in an agency environment, and wants to play a leadership role in growing this team and shaping the future of Course Studio.

We’re open to candidates between PST and EST time zones for this role — most of our clients are located in North America.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and advocate for our clients desired outcomes on each project.
  • Lead project kickoff and strategic conversations with clients and our internal team to set our projects up for success.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring our work contributes to their strategy and vision.
  • Assess risks and roadblocks on projects and work to mitigate those.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to communicate milestones, progress, and risks with client stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for organic account growth and new business.
  • Scope and develop proposals for design and development projects.
Skills
  • Excellent relationship-building skills — you can develop strong rapport and trust with clients at all levels, from C-Suite to individual creators and entrepreneurs.
  • Proactiveness — you communicate risks up-front and with ease, and you embrace tough conversations.
  • 4+ years of experience in account management, business development, or project management in a digital product or marketing agency.
  • Comfortable navigating complicated situations and ambiguity, always with a bias towards action.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both in meetings and written. We’re fully remote so asynchronous communication is incredibly important, from Slack standups to client presentations.
  • Understanding of the processes for UX/UI design, branding, and web development.
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for UX/UI design and strategy — your focus is making sure that the client is happy and you may advocate on their behalf in internal meetings.
Bonus Skills
  • Knowledge of the creator and learner economy — tools like Circle, Thinkific, and Kajabi.
  • Experience with digital product strategy.

Project Manager

Education is changing. Be a part of the movement.

About Course Studio

Course Studio is a funded online education startup. We build products and partnerships with creators through an agency and product business. Our agency creates product experiences for the worlds leading creators. Our product business builds online education tools to help creators monetize in more frictionless, high value ways.

We're a remote company, based in Canada, and are open to candidates located within 4 hours of PST timezone.

Role

Course Studio is looking for a Project Manager to support our efforts in creating the worlds best online learning experiences. In this position you'll play an important role in ensuring we deliver client projects on time, on spec and on budget. You will balance several projects and help shape our project management process as we grow. We're a small team so expect no two days to be the same.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, drive, and support the launch of successful brand, web design & development projects.
  • Lead client workshops and requirements meetings to unpack the vision and scope for each project.
  • Forecast project resources and plan sprints.
  • Communicate milestones, progress, and risks with client stakeholders as well as internal colleagues.
  • Review work done by the project team to ensure requirements are being met, and deliverables always meet our expectations for quality and polish.
  • Support the business development function by scoping new projects and participating in sales calls as needed.
  • Collaborate with other Project Managers to improve our internal processes and tools.
What we're looking for
  • A "get things done" attitude — we are a small team and scrappy at times so the ideal candidate will embrace that environment.
  • Inclusive and empathetic — you advocate for the things that will help your teammates, and continuously bring the team together as a cohesive unit.
  • Proactiveness — you communicate risks up-front and with ease.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both in meetings and written. We’re fully remote so asynchronous communication is important and Project Managers must lead by example.

  • Experience as a Project Manager in a digital product or marketing agency.
  • In-depth understanding of the processes for UX/UI design, branding, and web development.

  • Strong attention to detail and tendency to push your team to improve their work — you sweat the small stuff.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. waterfall, agile, "wagile")
  • Aptitude for learning new PM tools like Notion, GSuite, Airtable, etc. We use Notion primarily.
Bonus Skills
  • Experience working in online platforms like Shopify, Wordpress, etc.
  • Knowledge of the creator and learner economy — tools like Circle, Thinkific, and Kajabi.
